Electrical Repairs & Troubleshooting

Find the cause of breaker trips, dead outlets, flickering lights, partial power, and other electrical faults. Available across Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties.

The service

Start with a clear assessment.

Electrical problems are often symptoms, not the full story. Stephens Electric uses a methodical approach to narrow down the affected circuit, evaluate connected equipment, identify likely causes, and explain the appropriate repair.

Reasons to call

  • A breaker or fuse operates repeatedly
  • Lights flicker, dim, or stop working
  • An outlet, switch, or room loses power
  • Power is intermittent or only part of the property is affected
  • You notice buzzing, crackling, unusual heat, or a burning odor

How Stephens Electric can help

  • Circuit and device testing
  • Breaker and fuse troubleshooting
  • Fault and overload diagnosis
  • Flickering-light and partial-power investigation
  • Electrical repairs based on the diagnosed cause

Electrical safety note: Do not remove panel covers, touch exposed wiring, or continue using equipment that is hot, smoking, arcing, or producing a burning odor. Contact a licensed electrician for diagnosis.

Questions about repairs & troubleshooting

Useful answers before the work begins.

Should I keep resetting a breaker that trips?

No. A breaker that continues to trip is responding to a condition that should be diagnosed. Repeatedly resetting it does not correct the cause.

Does a tripping breaker always need replacement?

No. Overloads, faulty equipment, damaged wiring, loose connections, and other circuit problems can all cause trips. Diagnosis should come before replacement.
